NAPOLEON

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Every year, during the month of July, NAPOLEON presents a solo-exhibition selected by our members from a pool of applicants collected through an open call. We are interested in exhibiting work that is new to our Philadelphia audience, that takes risks, and makes good use of our small gallery space. If you would like to show with our gallery, we highly recommend you apply for this call. The winner of the Open Call will receive a $500 honorarium to help defer the costs associated with the show.  Work submitted cannot have been shown in Philadelphia over the past year. There is a $15 application fee.

Applicants should upload the following content:

• 10 images and/or 3 videos examples, with an accompanying image list/info
• a written proposal for the exhibition (300 words maximum)
• CV/resume

Show information & important dates:

Applicants will be notified by May 15th.  The show runs from July 7th to July 28th with an opening reception on First Friday, July 7th. The artist will be responsible for supplying all materials required for displaying their work (framing, media equipment, pedestals, hanging wire, etc.). The artist will also be responsible for installation during July 1st – July 6th and will de-install the exhibition during July 29th – July 30th.
